Request Public’s help

The Hanover Police Department received a report Sunday afternoon (03/16/2014) that an adult female had been assaulted while running on the Colby Phillips walking trail located on Pleasant Street.

The Police Department responded and conducted a thorough search of the area. No suspects were located. The Police Department has increased patrols in the area of the reported assault.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1: White male approximately 5″10″ with a large muscular build. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie, light grey sweat pants and his face was covered. he was wearing a gold necklace and described as having a heavy tan line on his neck.

Suspect #2: White male approximately 6’2″ muscular build. He was wearing a dark colored baseball style hat with a white emblem of “CG”. Dark colored sweat pants, white running shoes with red laces, very pale skin & freckles on his hands.

No motor vehicle was observed in the area.

The Hanover Police Department continues to investigate this incident. There will be increased patrols assigned to the area.

Notice of Vacancy Full Time Mall Officer

The Town of Hanover is seeking a qualified individual who has attended the reserve intermittent academy and who will be appointed a “Special Police Officer” to have the duty to preserve the peace, protect life and property, prevent crime, apprehend criminals, and enforce the law at the Hanover Mall and within the Town of Hanover.

This position is full-time under the Hanover Police Department Mall Police Contract.  Starting rate of pay will be $18.46/hour.  This position is 40 hours per week.

Applications may be obtained by applying in person at the Hanover Police Station, 129 Rockland Street, (Rt. 139), Hanover, MA.  Deadline for submission relative to this posting is 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

Storm Patrol roads are clear!
