Child Seat Safety Check CHILD SEAT SAFETY CHECK EVENT Sunday May 2, 2010 from 10am to 1PM Hanover Mall at the Rockland Federal Credit Union Parking Lot For additional information contact Officer David Zemotel at 781-826-3231 On May 18, 2008 Child Safety Seat Techs from Hanover PD, Norwell PD, Whitman PD, Lincoln PD, Pembroke FD and Abington FD checked over 30 car seats. All of the child seats needed to be installed properly. 6 child seats needed to be replaced due to defects or age. New checkpoint coming this fall. Check Back for updated dates. A Child Safety Seat Checkpoint, was held Sept.10, 2006 at the Hanover Mall. Over 40 seats were inspected and installed at the checkpoint. Officers assisting were from the Mass State Police, Cohasset Police Dept, Hingham Police Dept, and members from the Hanover Police and Fire departments. This is a free service and is a great way to ensure child safety while in the car. There will be several certified installers on hand for the duration of the event.
