The Hanover Police Department cares about the safety of your child and is pleased to help properly install your child safety seat for you. We will continue to perform this service for as long as possible.

Many parents have asked if they could make a donation to help us defray the costs of this program. Until recently all expenses were covered by grants and other corporate gifts, but with the state of the economy these monies have not been renewed and our supplies are dwindling.

On May 18, 2008 Child Safety Seat Techs from Hanover PD, Norwell PD, Whitman PD, Lincoln PD, Pembroke FD and Abington FD checked over 30 car seats. All of the child seats needed to be installed properly. 6 child seats needed to be replaced due to defects or age. New checkpoint coming this fall. Check Back for updated dates.
